Brooke + Bel Retail Associate
Job Responsibilities:
• Drive sales through engagement of customers, suggestive selling, and sharing product knowledge
• Create a warm and cozy atmosphere for our clients in accordance with the vision of our store by acting in a welcoming and approachable manner during customer interactions
• Offer personalized styling tips and create complete looks head to toe
• Assist with inventory, including receiving merchandise into Point of Sale (POS) System
• Process POS purchases
• Fulfill online orders
• Maintain awareness of all fashion and market trends and new brands or designers
• Develop a point of view on product assortment when assisting in writing buys
• Assist in creating social media content including Instagram Stories, Reels and Tik Tok
• Assist in planning and implementing in store events
• Merchandise displays to promote new product launches and reflect seasonal themes
Requirements:
• Work experience as a Retail Associate or similar role in the fashion industry
• Ability to multi-task, while being attentive to customers and remaining flexible to the needs of the business
• Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative
• Enthusiastic, friendly and energetic with a genuine desire to provide outstanding service
• Understanding of local Hoboken market
• Experience with social media platforms such as Instagram and Tik Tok
• Available to work 2-3 days a week, which includes weekdays AND weekends. This is a part time position
*Please note all shifts are from open to close (in accordance with our store hours) and we are looking for someone that is available year round.

Brooke + Bel Internship Program
Dates: Spring 2024
Minimum two days a week in person
School credit position
Benefits include lunch stipend provided each day and employee discount on personal orders
Internship Training:
OPERATIONS: receiving deliveries, checking in inventory to Shopify Point of Sale System, participate in monthly inventory counts
MERCHANDISING: how to tell a story on the racks, merchandising by outfit, brand, classification and price-point
SALES: how to interact with customers, clienteling, how to make recommendations and build relationships
MARKETING: Social Media management (Instagram, Tik Tok, Planoly, Canva), In Store Events & Trunk Shows
BUYING: Understanding the market calendar, retail math, pre-season vs. in-season buys, writing buys, review checkbook and monthly open-to-buy. Join Brooke + Sam for market appointments at showrooms in Manhattan
Qualifications for Internship Program:
- Must be organized, timely and attentive to detail
- Must have experience with Instagram, Tik Tok & Canva
- Ability to multi-task while remaining flexible to the needs of the business
